Feeling Of Lightness
Feeling Of Lightness
Tania Girard-Savoie
Tania Girard-Savoie's production is the result of a new, important investigation of different pictorial and graphic processes in relation to silk-screen. With the objective of creating a fusion among three field of creation (silkscreen, drawing and painting) she wanted to renew her approach to silkscreen by opening up further possibilities in the medium. No longer only a silkscreen, each print becomes a mono-print. Each work on paper is unique, but the composition of each piece is constructed with the multiplicity of process that printmaking offers.

The invigorating creation of Tania Girard-Savoie will be shown in the community centre managed by the YMCA. By its transparency, its brilliance and its reflections, her work is intimately linked to water. It will recall the YMCA’s pool, but also the St-Lawrence River, with its felt presence in our lives. The visitors will have the opportunity to admire the color gradients of yellow and turquoise, and to make their own interpretation of this imaginary and delightful aquatic world.
