Bill Rock

These colorful characters , some real and some perhaps not so real - all inhabit the visceral pictures and storytelling of the world of American artist Bill Rock.
Fascinated by the Die Brucke movement and the work of the artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner
- Bills theories surrounding their ill fitting footwear being the source of all the angst - filled artwork of the German expressionist movement as opposed to the social , political conditions of the time (The Weimar Government in its final days , World War I)
- are as fascinating as they are hilarious. (billrockart.com)
