Michael Gross: The Vision Series
Michael Gross: The Vision Series
Michael Gross
Michael Gross, a painter and printmaker based in Bethesda, Maryland, creates breathtaking art through his passion, intuition, and improvisation. For over three decades, Gross has established his unique art style, drawing inspiration from the masters of Abstract Expressionism, including Willem de Kooning, Richard Diebenkorn, and Jackson Pollock. Instead of imitating these artists, Gross pays homage to them in his work.
Gross's art is not driven by social, political, or ideological references. Instead, his work offers an intellectual dialogue on the beauty of abstraction, featuring intensely focused compositions and a spectrum of colors. With his profound works, Gross showcases his passion for creating art, resulting in almost indescribable beauty.

"Black Vision #2" by Michael Gross
I have been painting and drawing for most of my life and, in more recent years, also making prints. These creative efforts are a means of grappling with the impulses and struggles that make up the way I see my place in the world. In a work of art I am pleased with, I have succeeded in wresting a sense of order from the chaos of an incomplete and unbalanced space. I create the chaos and then I resolve it.
