Julião Sarmento

The corpus of work produced by Julião Sarmento in the form of multiples (photographs, prints, books) has an importance that should not be overlooked or be the object of mere curiosity. The editions he has signed without interruption from 1972 to the present are a remarkable introduction to an overview of his work. Through them we can identify in a more direct, more concentrated and refined way, specific working procedures and methods, fixations and thematic and imaginary affiliations that are sometimes difficult to autonomize and particularize in the field of more complex works that combine multiple problems and processes.
